Homemade granola with nuts and freeze-dried raspberries
When you make your own granola, you control how much sugar you add and you can work with natural ingredients. The proportion of nuts and freeze-dried fruit is also completely up to you, you make it the way you like it. Before we tell you how to make this granola, we would like to explain to you the difference between granola and muesli.
Difference between granola and muesli
You can buy many different types of granola and muesli in the supermarket. Many people do not know the difference between these two products. Muesli and granola are also very similar and both can be found among breakfast cereals. Both products consist of a mix of grains, nuts, seeds, seeds and/or fruits. Muesli is basically not toasted while granola is toasted. It is often thought that granola has added sugars while granola does not. Unfortunately, a lot of sugar is added to both granola and granola you can buy in the supermarket.
That's why we are a proponent of making it ourselves! Want to have less sugars in your granola? Then make it all by yourself with this recipe. Trust us: it really is much tastier.
You will need this
- 200 grams of oatmeal (flakes)
- 30 grams of cashews
- 80 grams of hazelnuts
- 80 grams of almonds
- 30 grams of walnuts
- 10 grams of seed mix (e.g. sunflower or pumpkin)
- 100 grams of unsweetened applesauce
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 10 grams of cinnamon
- 50 grams of freeze-dried raspberries
With these ingredients, you will make about 600 grams of granola. We recommend a granola serving of 30 to 40 grams. From this recipe you will then get 15 to 20 servings. Want to make more or less granola? Double or halve the amount of the above ingredients.

The granola you make with this recipe is full of good fats, proteins and carbohydrates. You need all of these macronutrients in your diet.
